Use Dynamic Knoweldgebase to build and maintain the atlas(es) of information you want to publish and access.
By doing so you promote your program / organization / services and build understanding.
You also promote data
maintenance, standards and sharing, because once data are registered
in an atlas, they become available for use on the desktop or over
the Internet.
With
Dynamic Knowledgebase, the construction and management of the
atlas is "behind the scenes" so that your clients only need to use Dynamic
Maps or a web browser to access and use the data and information.
Dynamic Knowledgebase handles:
- Spatial
data (maps) - Register map data (from many common vector and image formats) in an atlas and define their rendering characteristics
and scale at which they should be rendered.
- Tabular
data from Oracle, SQL Server, dBase, Access, Excel or any
ODBC-compliant database system. Easily relate tabular data to map features so that users can easily see the relationsips and create thematic / indicator maps.
- "Documents"
in any format - like .pdf, .jpg, .doc, etc... Any digital file can be published and made accessible.
Even non-digital documents or collections can be made accessible
via descriptions.
- Metadata
(Descriptions of the data). Dynamic Knowledgebase enables all
spatial, tabular and document data to have detailed and standardized
descriptions.
- Topics. Group map layers, data sets, and documents in "topics" that focus the users' attention on an item or area of interest while providing information that is tailored to meet their needs.
- Multiple
"Atlases". Create as many atlases of data as you want or need. Distribute them
on CD or over the Internet.
